Recently I attended the housewarming party of a friend of mine who works as a Seattle personal injury lawyer. She and her family moved in about a month ago.  She decorated her home tastefully.  I love the dark wood floor in her home.  She also has many wood furniture.  An example of her home is below (I forgot to take my camera with me that day, hence no photos of her home).

The walls of her home are painted in white and she also has a few funiture made of bamboo and seagrass.  Her style is very zen-like.   It is such a beautiful home and I am truly inspired.  I must remember to bring along my camera when I visit her next time.

I really dislike having too many things on my desk.  Besides the laptop, there are books, papers and files lying around.  I just found the best solution to clear my desk.  It is a cool desktop stand from Twelve South.  The BookArc is a soft, silicone footpad that will hold the laptop vertically, leaving a cleaner, less cluttered workspace. Its design is elegant and to ensure the perfect fit, BookArc has three different sized scratch-free, silicone cushions.  Awesome eh?  I wonder if they have similar designs for LCD tvs?  I am going to order this asap because I want to have more space on my desk.
