I was blog-hopping just now at my favorite home decor blog – Apartment Therapy and came across these cute little gas baskets. They are designed by junk+ion, a company in Tel Aviv which give a new life to items that are thrown away. Their designs are so cool. I like these metal gas baskets a lot. They are great for keeping your fresh vegetables in the kitchen, storing your dog supplies or just leave it on your dinner table as decoration when you have guests over. I am sure it will be a good conversation piece.
One of my friends is planning to set up her own online business and will be working from home. This means she is going to turn her study room into her home office. I met her for lunch a couple of days ago and we discussed on how to decorate her home office. My friend also told me that she is shopping for a computer and asked for my opinion. She is not sure if she should get a desktop computer or a laptop. Actually, it really depends on her lifestyle. What I understand is that the CPU and RAM are almost equal on both laptops and desktops.
Since my friend works from home, I know she would be moving her computer a lot eventhough she has a home office. She may need to bring her laptop along when she goes out to meet her client or place it in the kitchen when she cooks meals for her children. Therefore, a laptop is a good choice for her since it is portable.
The prices of laptop computers have come down significantly so it is cost effective to purchase one. There are many good brands available such as Lenova, Toshiba, Dell, Sony, HP and many more. There is a Laptop Computer Buying Guide which I believe my friend should check out for more information. Below is the Tribeca Black Laptop Computer Desk which is just perfect for my friend’s home office.
If you like add some colors to your kitchen, the Stackable Fridge designed by Stefan Buchberger may do the trick. This cool modern fridge splits the fridge up into a few compartments and has individual doors. It is also great for those who share the fridge with others and it helps to save energy too by not letting out as much cool air whenever a door is opened. I love it. Check out Dvice.com for more information.

My sister works from home and she is thinking of ways to spruce up her home office. Well, I just saw this great idea from one of my favorite blogs – Apartment Therapy. It is using affordable embroidery hoops as wall art as well as bulletin boards. Just use any old fabric scraps on a few different size hoops. Beautiful eh? Fabrics can be easily changed according to the season or your mood. I really like this idea a lot. One of the best things since the invention of belly fat burners. Makeover need not be expensive. Little things such as this do wonders to give your room a fresh new look.
Big ideas in a big apartment. I love how it is decorated. From my favourite decor blog – decor8.

I like the blue fridge. How retro is that?

Living room with a touch of green.
A simple bedroom in orange sheets
I love items such as this. Crates turned into a bookshelf or table

Another great inexpensive way to spruce up your home is to get a beanbag. It is comfortable, versatile and light-weight, hence, moving it around the room is pretty easy. The beanbags are perfect for children’s room, family room or game room. They come in a variety of materials to suit your home. I just found a beautiful floral beanbag from MoozleHome.com. It features floral on a dark background and coordinating stripes on the side. Its removable cover is 100% cotton and sewn with an invisible zip. Check out MoozleHome.com for more designs.
Are you a Hello Kitty fan? If you are, then you are going to like this. A Hello Kitty desktop to jazz up your computer desk. This nettop MiNEW A10 features an Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, GMA950 and 160GB SATA. The specifications are pretty standard but the whole look is absolutely beautiful. I like its pink and white theme. Great for a little girl’s room. My daughter has been asking for a desktop so maybe we would check this out for her (She has been using mine and her dad’s a lot). This cute desktop makes a live chat more enjoyable.
