I heart these baskets from Ferm-Living.com.  They are too sweet for words.   Each basket is hand-knitted and made of 100% cotton rope.  As you can see from the photo above, these lovely knitted baskets are great for holding magazines, newspapers, fruits or logs near the fireplace.  I can think of a hundred things to store in these baskets.  They look great in the bathroom to store accessories such as comb, face wash, blackhead removal cream, make-up set, towels and more.   The knitted basket comes in three colours – yellow, petrol and charcoal.

I saw this lovely home which belongs to  couple with a one-year old daughter on Design Sponge.  It has a relaxed and rustic look.    The building was actually an old toy factory and now converted into an apartment for the family of 3.  The whole place is very open and decorated with some vintage items.  I like the white colour around the home with dark wood flooring and furniture.  The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous.  I love how they use open shelving for their dishes and glassware.

I was surfing the internet last night and came upon this cool website – Swarm.com by Dutch artist, Leslie Oschmann, which features reclaim items made new in Amsterdam.  Vintage objects found in Dutch flea markets and French homes are recreated whilst preserving its natural charm.  I love its chair collection.  Original oil paintings are used to cover the chairs.  How unique eh?

I love all of them which are made by laminating paintings onto the surfaces.  It would be awesome to have a few pieces in my home. I can just imagine myself sitting on this chair, reading the african mango reviews or my favourite book.

I have a bit of a storage problems.  I just do not know how  to keep my handbags. They are now hanging on the door knobs of my wardrobe.  Not a very appealing sight. Some of them are in a storage box but I do not want to keep them there because if I do not see the handbags, I would not use it.  You know, out of sight, out of mind?  Does anyone know what is the best way to store handbags?

I was at Remodelista.com and came across this beautiful handmade bench by Greg Hatton, a furniture maker and landscaper.   I just love its rustic look.  I wish to have a bench like this in my home.  I can see myself relaxing on this bench, reading a book or acetyl l carnitine review and enjoying a cuppa.  This bench would look great on the porch or the entryway.

I also love these  blue drawers made from reclaimed crates

I was reading the diet pill reviews when a friend called and asked if I have any ideas to share with her on how to organize her pantry. My friend loves cooking and baking and she spends a lot of time in the kitchen.  She told me that her pantry is in a mess and would like to know how she can keep it organize and neat.  Plus, the holidays are coming and she would like to have some parties which are centered in the kitchen.  I went online to visit my favourite home decor blogs and came across some great organizational ideas for the kitchen.

love the rattan/bamboo baskets

I just found some really nice decor accessories for the home which are made from recycled items.  They are from UnCommonGoods.com.  I like decorating my home with recycled items.  Buying and decorating the home with green items is another step towards helping the environment and creating an eco-friendly home.

This colourful Flip Flop doormat is made from scrap foam rubber from sandal factories in the Philippines.

Colourful float-ropes used by lobstermen off the coast of Maine have been re-purposed and braided into a sturdy doormat.   These doormats are extremely durable and resistant to mold, mildew, salt water and sun.   Lobstermen are required to turn in their old float-ropes and switch to sink ropes because the float rope entangle the Northern Right Whales.

I love these cute Upcycled Wool Pocket Pillow.  They are handmade, soft, squishy and feature quirky monkey faces and peace signs.   The pillows are made from gently used reclaimed wool sweaters.  I heart the decorative pockets on them.  Great for storing remote controls, cigar, pens, little notes and more.

This charming Julia Child birdhouse is too adorable.  It is handmade using a vintage French Chef Cookbook by Julia Child.  The birdhouse is covered with two recipe pages, a picture of Julia Child and the rest of the book as roof.  A mini wooden mixing spoon is used as a perch.  Simply marvellous.
