Having a good night sleep can do wonders to our body and mind.  It can help us to rejuvenate and relax.  It is important to make your bedroom more comfortable to create a cool and warm bedroom for a healthy sleep.  Your slumber zone should have a proper decor that is stylish and as well as helping you to unwind at the end of the day.  It is best not to keep any electrical appliance in the room such as a television or computer.  It can cause restlessness and insomnia.  I like my sheets to be colorful but not too bright.  Adding throws to the bed that blend in with the colors of the room is another good idea.  You can also paint your wall in warm tones.  I hope these tips can help you to create a more comfortable bedroom.   You may also check out www.sleepingaidreviews.net for more information to help you sleep better at night.

Don’t you just love these stools with crocheted slipcovers?  How unique can they get?  They are designed by Ingrid Jansen from Netherlands.  The stools are handmade from recycled wood and the seats have crocheted slipcover.  A great addition to any home.  Check out Woodwoolstool.com if you like them.  Oh you can even find beautiful pillows, blankets, hangers, garlands and frames at her store.  I cannot wait to have them in my home.

I love the decor in this girl’s bedroom.  I was blog-hopping and saw this beautifully decorated bedroom at SpearMintBaby.com.  It is simple and sweet.   I am sure my soon to be five year old would love to have a room like this.  She has been asking for her own room and telling me that she wants something pink in her room.  We even bought the same pink flower lamp from Ikea as shown in the photos below.

When I first laid my eyes on these beautiful lamps, I fell head over heels with them. These spiral-stitched ball lamps are handmade using natural cotton strings, jute twine and braids.  They are known as Moonbasket, a project initiated by Cape Town designer and artist Dani Le Roy in support of a community-based project and to create beautiful items for living spaces.  These dazzling lampshades look like some of the rattan lampshades I have seen at one of the Toronto hotels I stayed in last time.  Crochet fans are going to be over the moon when they see them.

My friend’s daughter is taking the gmat prep courses now.  As the GMAT prep courses at Knewton.com are conducted live with a team of top experts and instructors, my friend’s daughter would be spending a lot of time in her bedroom which is also her study room.  Therefore my friend would like to redecorate her daughter’s room to create a cosy place for her to study as well as a hip place to hangout.  She asked me to help her with some decorating tips and I found a few inspirational bedroom/study ideas from Good Housekeeping and Decorology.blogspot.com.

This is my favorite.  A small study table next to a window. I like the inspirational board a lot.

I was saw this lovely nursery at SpearMintBaby.com and was so inspired.  It is simple and yet so cosy looking.  I like the lantern being used as a lamp.  I also like the elephant decal on the wall as well as the little flags hanging across the room. The carpeted play area is a great idea for babies who are learning to sit and crawl.
