I was blog-hopping to my favourite home decor blogs just now and came across a few decor styles that are really inspiring.  One of them is a very cool kitchen featured in Apartment Therapy.  It is named the Happy Morning Kitchen.

Besides the bright yellow wall, I love how the owner of this house uses a recycled wooden crate as a wall shelf.  I also love the wooden table and the vintage stone flooring.

I would love to sit here and have my meals.

Another very unique and beautiful DIY headboard from Re-Nest.com.  The owner uses two antique wooden doors to create a headboard.

A bed made from shipping pallets.  This was featured in Apartment Therapy too.  The bed comes with handy storage space between the slats.  What a great idea using repurpose items.

Seeing these great ideas have left me so inspired.  I am looking for some ideas on how to use repurpose items to organize my closet.  I want to keep my shoes, GoLite Backpacks, accessories and linens neatly.  I will share these ideas here in my blog once I manage to find them.

I was at a friend’s house, helping her with the payday advance loan application a few days ago.  I couldn’t help but notice how she uses a ladder to decorate her bathroom.  I have always love the idea of using ladders to decorate the home.  Many people use ladder to decorate the wall, as a plant stand or just as a decor piece in the living area.    Some ladders are being re-purposed as shelves.   Below are a few inspiring ways to decorate with ladders.

I found this fabulous etsy store called Old Crow Farm from GoingHomeToRoost.com.   Old Crow Farm rescues cool junk for those who love to spruce up their home or office with vintage items.  I found so many lovely things in this online shop.  Here are some of my favourite pieces.

White and Chippy White Basket

This rescued farm find is great for storing magazines, toilet rolls or extra towels in the powder room.  You can also line this cool basket with moss and turn it into a beautiful spring planter.

Old Bakery Pans

Oh how I adore this old bakery pan.  It has 4 spots to organize kitchen utensils, crafts, accessories, bills and letters.   It makes a perfect organizer.  I can see it in my bathroom holding my toothpaste, creams, face wash for acne and more.

Vintage Locker Door Note Board

I love this funky distressed lattice design metal locker door.  A great message board or display for family photos.

Choosing the right bed linen for the bedroom is important.  The right bed linens make a big difference in a good night’s sleep.  Quality sleep makes a person fells rejuvenated in the mind and body.  If you would like to give your room a makeover,  changing the bed linen is one of the important things to do.  The bed is the focal piece of furniture in the bedroom.   Therefore finding the right bedlinen for the bedroom decor is very important.  It can make or break the design of your bedroom.   I am planning to give my guest room a makeover so I was looking around for some bed linens and chanced upon this beautiful Cross-Stitched Bedlinen from Toast.co.uk.    Its design is simple and elegant.  Besides getting the glucosamine sulphate for my mom, this bed linen will be in my shopping list this week.

My 5 year old has been asking me to decorate her bedroom.  She has been sleeping with us in the master bedroom but now she says she wants her own bedroom.  This only means one thing – she will be sleeping on her own very soon.  We have been trying hard to get her to sleep on her own but to no avail.  So hopefully when she sees how lovely her room is, she will sleep on her own.  So, instead of looking up the car insurance for my sister, I scour the internet for some ideas on how to decorate a kid’s bedroom.

The bright blue wall is beautiful.  I love the painting of the owl and tree.  Perhaps I could use some wall stickers on the bedroom wall.

I love the idea of hanging a group of artwork on the wall.  Colourful storage boxes/baskets are great for adding some colours to the room.

Colourful bedsheets for a simple bedroom

This poster bed is one which my 5-year old would love.  I like the colourful cushions and the wall art.

Another great idea for the wall.

I love baskets.  I  am drawn to baskets that are made from sea grass or jute.  Baskets are really a stylish way to organize and save space in your home or office.  They are just the perfect solution for newpapers, magazines, toys, Christmas party invitations, towels and many more.  I have baskets in my kitchen, bathroom and living area.  Storage baskets add a lovely texture to any room.   I am confident that I could use some of these gorgeous baskets in my home. Absolutely love them.

Are you like me who dislike clutter? Well, here are some useful tips which I found from Better Homes and Gardens on how to cut clutter in your home.

Keep things organized and attractive like using a lovely bowl or basket to keep all your keys.  Colourful document holders can be used to hold bills.

Bookshelves placed back to back are great as room divider as well as storage for books, collections and more.

Furniture with dual purpose such as coffee tables with drawers, chest that can be used as side tables or ottomans with lift-off tops are perfect for storing magazines, books, vga cable, cds, dvds and etc.

Keep the children’s room tidy with storage bins, baskets or drawers to keep toys, books, scarves, hats and more.
