Are you like me who dislike clutter? Well, here are some useful tips which I found from Better Homes and Gardens on how to cut clutter in your home.

Keep things organized and attractive like using a lovely bowl or basket to keep all your keys.  Colourful document holders can be used to hold bills.

Bookshelves placed back to back are great as room divider as well as storage for books, collections and more.

Furniture with dual purpose such as coffee tables with drawers, chest that can be used as side tables or ottomans with lift-off tops are perfect for storing magazines, books, vga cable, cds, dvds and etc.

Keep the children’s room tidy with storage bins, baskets or drawers to keep toys, books, scarves, hats and more.

It is a daunting and frustrating task to try to keep a clean and well organized children room.  If you plan to give your children’s bedroom a makeover without breaking the bank, here are a few things you can do.

1)  Decorate the wall with some fun wall decals.

2)  Storage bins

A great way to keep all the toys, pencils and etc organized is to use some storage bins.   Oh, aren’t these baby storage bins adorable?  I would love to get some to store my things. They are so pretty. Maybe when I buy diet pills, I can store them in the bins and display them in the kitchen counter.  They are available at DesignPublic.com.

3)  Mirror With Storage

You can place this mirror on the wall.  It has space for a hairbrush, comb, jewelry, etc inside on the doors.  Minnen mirror from Ikea.

4)  A Rug

You can add some colours to your child’s bedroom with a colourful rug.   It can also provide protection to the floor.

When not kept or stored properly, toys can take up the whole room if not the whole house.  Besides storage containers, hammock is a popular way to store children’s toys.  Hammock works well for homes with lack of floor space.  It can be a neat and attractive way to encourage the child to clean up and straighten their room.   So, if you are looking for a different way to keep the toys neatly in the playroom or the bedroom, check out some toys hammock.

I love the decor in this girl’s bedroom.  I was blog-hopping and saw this beautifully decorated bedroom at SpearMintBaby.com.  It is simple and sweet.   I am sure my soon to be five year old would love to have a room like this.  She has been asking for her own room and telling me that she wants something pink in her room.  We even bought the same pink flower lamp from Ikea as shown in the photos below.
