I have been invited to the Christening of my good friend’s baby girl.   The christening will take place in 2 week’s time.  I have been  looking around for personalized christening gifts for my friend’s daughter but could not find anything nice until I discovered Personal Creations.  This online store has a huge range of unique gifts for every special event.  I found just what I wanted at Personal Creations.

A friend of mine is expecting her first baby and both she and her husband are interested in converting their study room into a nursery.  They are staying in a 2-bedroom apartment in downtown.  She was asking me if I can provide her with some ideas on how to decorate the nursery.  My friend would love to have a simple decor.  I went to check out some of my favourite home decor blogs and saw this simple nursery decor at Simply Grove.

I also like this nursery decor from Ikea.  It looks simple and cozy to me.  Perhaps my friend may want to get some halloween accessories to decorate the nursery since she is due to give birth about 2 weeks before Halloween.

While my spouse was checking out the toro zero turn lawn mowers, I was busy looking for birthday party ideas for a 6 year old.  My niece is celebrating her birthday next month and my sister and I have been looking for inspiration on how to decorate the party as well as party favors.  We are planning to incorporate pastels in the decor like pink, light green, white and blue.  I came across a few lovely ideas from Penandpaperflowers.blogspot.com.  Can’t wait to get started on our little project.

You know how much I love products made from bamboos eh?  Well, when I spotted these awesome idea from Pinterest, I just had to blog about it.   Get a few bamboo steamers in different sizes  (available at most Asian grocery stores), remove the bottom and glue the steamers together.  When secured, hang the bamboo steamers on the wall with nails or picture hooks and use them as storage.  A very unique and eco-friendly way to store small items and even portable baby monitors if you like.

Summer is here.  This means there will be plenty of beautiful weather ahead.  It is a good idea to get the kids playing outside instead of spending time inside the house and watching tv or playing with computer games.  Let them enjoy some fresh air outdoor by climbing, jumping and playing on the swing sets.  Those are good ways to keep the kids from getting bored at home.   If you are looking for some backyard fun for your kids this summer, then you may want to check out the swing set installation new york at Best In Backyards. I was browsing one of my favourite home decor blogs – Simply Grove when I came across some photos of a lovely home.  I just love the simple decor and the little pops of colours around the home.   The wooden floor is absolutely stunning.  My favourite room is the dining because it has so much natural light from the big windows.  I also love the foldable wooden table.  I hope that in my next home, I will have a kitchen/dining area with lots of big windows. I can picture myself sitting in the dining room, doing my skin care product reviews or reading a book.
