Furnishing My Home!

Lately, there has been a strange problem with my laptop.  Tabs have been opening and closing by themselves.  It happens every few minutes.   I have run spyware and malware programmes on the laptop but to no avail.  This is very frustrating indeed.  Since we cannot solve this problem, my husband intends to get another laptop or maybe a desktop computer.  He has been reading the computer reviews online to find out more.  There are so many choices available now.  My husband is also interested in getting a netbook too since he will be traveling quite a lot in the next few months.  Since he is looking into buying computers, I better start shopping for a new workstation. I am inspired by the workstation below.

My laptop sits on my dining table because I do not have a proper workstation.  Yes, I do my work or read up on disability insurance at my dining table. Actually I do not have enough space in my home for a workstation so when I saw this multi-functional stand from Urbancase.com, I am hooked (no pun intended).  This wall-hung piece can be used as a TV stand, entryway table or even a bookshelf.  It has a drawer unit on the left, a drop-down pull out shelf on the right and also space for cables.  Pretty neat eh?  I am going to check out more information on this now.

Sisters of Pearl is a 30-episode TVB drama which I cannot wait to watch online.  It stars some of my favorite artistes such as Jessica Hsuan, Kiki Sheung, Bowie Lam and Michael Tao.  This is the first time that Jessica is portrayed as a villianess.

Besides watching dramas online, I also do a lot of work on my computer. I feel that my workstation is need of a makeover to help me organize things in a better manner.  A makeover will also help me to enhance my productivity.  I got some inspiration from my favorite home decor blogs, Apartment Therapy and DesignIsMine.blogspot.com.  Here are a few of my favorite work spaces.

When I was visiting one of the entertainment sites last night, I discovered a new drama called A Fistful of Stances. It is a comedy traditional drama with 25 episodes.  I cannot wait to watch this online because my favorite actors and actresses are in this drama.  They are Selina Li, Kevin Cheng, Yuen Wah and Kenneth Ma.

Before I start watching this drama on my laptop, I would need to get a good chair first.  I was looking around and came across this cool Think Chair from Steel Case.  Its seat and back flexors conforms to the body as we move.  It also has the mechanism to provide smooth recline support in proportion to our weight.

A pretty nice chair and it looks so comfortable.  I can spend hours sitting on this chair to do my work on the laptop, read the murad review or watch A Fistful of Stances online.

I really dislike having too many things on my desk.  Besides the laptop, there are books, papers and files lying around.  I just found the best solution to clear my desk.  It is a cool desktop stand from Twelve South.  The BookArc is a soft, silicone footpad that will hold the laptop vertically, leaving a cleaner, less cluttered workspace. I have been facing some problems while uploading the pictures for my posts recently.  It is taking me forever to do it   Also my computer is running very slow now.  I am using Vista on my laptop and currently it has 1 GB of memory.  I guess I am facing a memory related performance problem now and the only solution is to upgrade the computer memory.  I better start shopping for the right memory so that the productivity level of my computer will increase.
