I saw a few really cool ideas from ReNest.com on how to recycle items into other things which can be used around the home. There are so many creative people out there.  I am so amazed by their talent and feel so inspired after looking at the photos.  My parents have always wanted me to enrol in a medical assistant training school but I think a design school would be fun since I love interior decorating.  Perhaps I should find out more about going back to school eh? Oh well, back to the cool ideas I saw at ReNest.com.  If you want to get your creative juice flowing, take a look below.

I was saw this lovely nursery at SpearMintBaby.com and was so inspired.  It is simple and yet so cosy looking.  I like the lantern being used as a lamp.  I also like the elephant decal on the wall as well as the little flags hanging across the room. The carpeted play area is a great idea for babies who are learning to sit and crawl.

When I first saw the Bookwave Hanging Storage, I was bowled over.  It is so cool and I have not seen anything like this before.  The Bookwave Hanging Storage is great for holding your book collection, magazines or even cad drawings.  Besides being used as a bookshelf, it can be used as a room divider or craftly designed curtain.  Made from felt, it can expand to any size.  Check out Materialicious.com for more information.

I am going through a pallet phase right now.  I just love the raw color of the pallet.   I came across this brilliant idea by Katrin Arens at Remodelista.com.  She used a discarded pallet and re-fashioned it into a plate rack.  Another great idea to decorate the wall but of course, it cannot be used to hold heavy items such as a receipt printer.  Katrin used a bit of beeswax to brighten and beautify the pallet.   I also love how she used the old nails to hold the plates.  What do you think?

How To Build A Bed In Small Spaces

Oh I am so loving this bedroom created by Københavns Møbelsnedkeri of Collect Furniture.  I got so excited when I first saw it.  As excited as when I received my free insurance quotes. This brilliant designer managed to take a small space and turned it into a bedroom for children.  This room has a high ceiling and thus a full-sized bed was placed above the bedroom sliding door.  Then, a wardrobe and shelves are built-in below the bed as well as the ladder.   This would leave plenty of floor space in this small bedroom for play.  It can also be turned into a study area with a desk and a chair.   This is a wonderful idea for those who are short on space in the bedroom.

I really love recycled storage crates which you can get from the market or the wine store.  They are very attractive and are great storage solutions.  The crates can be wall mounted or just simply stack them side by side for extra storage.  They can be spray painted in other shades if you don’t like its original color.  The crates can be used to store towels, toys, toilet paper, books and even Mopar parts. The possibilities are endless.  Here are some lovely ideas on what you can do with recycled storage crates.
