I stumbled upon these adorable Heart Cup and Saucer sets from The Spoon Sisters yesterday while my other half was busy teleconferencing in the other room.  These china cups come in a set of 6.  They are so unique and definitely will make a conversation piece at the party.  These cups and saucers are great if you want to share a cup of tea or coffee with your loved one.  They also make great Valentine’s Day gift.

A few nights ago, I had a Chinese New Year Eve dinner at my in-law’s house.  It is also known as the Reunion dinner where family members get together for a sumptuous feast.   Ok back to our reunion dinner, I was pleasantly surprised to see my mother-in-law bringing out theses lovely Inside Out Bowls from Anthropologie.  These porcelain bowls surely brighten up the dining table.

I was blog-hopping and came upon this lovely blog – A Beautiful Mess.  I was looking at their home tour and discovered their kitchen.  All the cabinets are painted with black chalkboard paint to make it easier for them to write messages and menus.  How awesome is that? I have not come across any black kitchen cabinet before.  Would love to have one like theirs.

I also love their vintage thermos collection on top of the cabinet.

Hey Peeps.  Christmas has come and gone.  I hope you all had a great time.  In a few days’ time, we will be saying goodbye to 2011 and usher in the new year.  One of the things in my to-do list for the new year is to get my home organized.  My kitchen is on top of the list and then followed by my closet and the shoe closet.  I was looking for some inspiration at Apartment Therapy and found some really nice and organized kitchens.  Below are my favourites.

So neat and tidy

Very organized indeed.

So Halloween has come and gone.  Time sure flies.  Did you take your kids out for Halloween?  The weather is getting colder now eventhough it’s only the beginning of November.  I should really get my down jackets at RockyMountainTrail.com this winter.  While blog-hopping just now, I came across this really charming apartment in Paris which has a vintage touch to it.  It is a small apartment which is tastefully decorated.  My favourite rooms are

The kitchen

The bedroom.  Check out the fruit boxes being used as storage on top of the cupboard.

Before I look for my olympus camera batteries, let me share with you what I just came across a while ago.  I was at House To Home website and saw a few beautiful home images which I would love for my home to be like.  They are very inspiring.

I would love to have an exposed brickwall inside my house or on the porch.

An all-white kitchen filled with rustic furniture such as the vintage wood table and cupboard.

I love the all-white living room with a splash of colours from the furniture.

I just saw a few beautifully decorated space at Skonahem.com.  They are so inspiring.

I love the white sofa with lots of colourful cushion.  I think I can lounge there the whole day.

I like the island and the sofa in the kitchen.  If I am not mistaken, the dining area is outdoor or perhaps in a little indoor garden on the right of the kitchen.  Love that.

So loving the wooden flooring and the potted plants at the balcony.  The bright and airy space is just beautiful.

I came across some really cool accessories for home from Elvis & Kresse last night.  Thought I would share them with you here. Elvis & Kresse collect fire brigade hoses from genuine de-commissioned British fire stations and turn them into lifestyle accessories.   50% of  their profits go back to the Fire Fighters Charity.  Here are the stylish items made from reclaimed fire hose for the home.

My garage is not exactly organized at the moment.  It is driving me a little crazy to see things everywhere on the floor and some in bags strewn all over the garage.  I was looking for storage ideas online and chanced upon these handy cubby sets from PlowHearth.com.  They are made from solid wood and feature many compartments.  There are so many things you can keep in this organiser like boots, garden supplies, tools and many more.  I think I can even keep my mazda mx 3 custom floor mats here. They are also great for the kitchen, laundry room or children’s room.

I was helping a friend to look up the Marcus medical uniforms when my spouse handed me a copy of Skona Hem, a home decor magazine.  I was so taken by this home which was featured in the magazine.  It is such a cozy place filled with natural and reclaimed materials.  I love the wood colours in the home.  The walls of the home was roughed up with some cement to add texture.  Here are some pics of the lovely home.

love the wooden dining table

The kitchen is made with Ikea cabinets with custom  doors made from salvaged wood.  Such a rustic feel.
