Kitchen In Small Spaces

I was at Apartment Therapy just now and saw a post on organized kitchens in small spaces.  This reminds me of the first apartment we rented many years ago.  It was a 500 sq. ft.  studio apartment which comes with a living area, a small bedroom which was actually part of the living area, a closet, a bathroom, a laundry room and a very tiny kitchen.  One of the kitchens featured in Apartment Therapy is almost like what the kitchen in my previous apartment looked like.

I wish I made used of the wall to hang to keep all the utensils and jars like the one above.   If you are looking for some ideas on how to maximize your small kitchen, check out Apartment Therapy now.

While my spouse was browsing www.happyeasterstore.com, looking for some Easter gifts,  I was busy blog-hopping to my favourite home decor blogs.  I was at Dreamy Whites when I came across beautiful blue cupboard.  It is an antique cupboard in the most delightful blue.  I absolutely adore this cupboard and I love the chicken wire on it.  It has a rustic, shabby chic look.   I would love to have one in my home.

I always dream of having a small space in the kitchen or the dining area for breakfast or a quick meal.  I would love to sit by the window, have a cuppa while reading the newspaper, a book or the adapexin-p review. Sadly, when we renovated our house, we did not have enough space for a breakfast nook.  One of the to-do things in my list should we move to a new home in the future is to allocate a cozy spot in the kitchen for my daily caffeine fix.

I am loving the floor tiles in this kitchen too.

I was supposed to look up some cheap eyeglasses for my sister but I hopped over to my favourite decor blogs instead.  Whilst there, I spotted a lovely home that is filled with colourful decors.  I can so live in a home like this.  The best room in that charming house is its kitchen.  I would love to have a kitchen like.

I just love this cheerful looking 5ft x 10ft kitchen.

The dish rack on the wall is so cool.

A girlfriend of mine was telling me that she is in the organizing frenzy mood this week.   She has been de-cluttering and organizing her wardrobe, shoe closet and her kitchen.  After seeing how neat her things are, I want to organize my kitchen cupboard too.  My cupboard is overflowing with canned food and they are taking up a lot of space.  My girlfriend bought a few Can Organizers from The Can Organizer and I think they just what I need too.  The Can Organizer has a very simple design which allows us to maximize cupboard space and have easy access to the cans.  I am going to place my order right after I have looked up the cheap car insurance for my dad. Check out The Can Organizer if you are planning to re-organize your pantry.

I saw this beautiful home at one of my favourite home decor blogs – Sfgirlbybay.com and fell totally head over heads in love with it.  It has got a  funky edge to it.   I adore the dining area.  I love how mismatched chairs are used.   Did I tell you that I love mismatched chairs?

Check out the living area. Love the little dashes of pink and blue against the white background.

Another part of the house that I like. The bathroom.  Check out the lovely red curtains which is great to add some colours to the bathroom.  I like the white timber flooring and the white mirror.  Actually I like the whole place.  I can picture myself relaxing in the bathtub, reading the managed hosting service catalog or a book.

I found a few kitchen decors that I really heart.  Seeing them makes my heart flutters just like when I found the best eczema treatments.  I love kitchens with lots of colour.  Most families spend a lot of time in the kitchen.  Whether it’s cooking, serving or eating, a kitchen is a functional place.   How a kitchen is decorated makes a huge difference to a home.  A happy kitchen makes a happy home.

I know this is very very last minute.  For those who have been busy planning the menu and getting the ingredients to whip up an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner and have forgotten all about decorating the table, well no worries.  Just head down to Pottery Barn now and get some decorative pumpkins and gourds.  Place them in a bowl and set the bowl on the table with some candles.   They will look stunning.

You can also add some colours to the table with these lovely dried Promegranate.

I spotted this lovely dream home which was created from the garage at Calfinder.com.  Homeowner, Michelle de la Vega designed and built this custom home from an old garage.  Guess how much she spent on the renovations?  Only $32,000.  Brilliant eh? Most of the fixtures and furnishings in this house are custom built or refurbished and repurposed by her.  This 250 sq. ft. home features a cozy loft sleeping space, a bathroom with bathtub, a fireplace and a kitchen.

My most favourite space in this home is the amazing kitchen.  It is simple and functional.  I love how the homeowner uses crates for storing plates, utensils, spices and more.  Hey, I think these crates are great for fruits or whatever fat burning foods we can find.   Seeing this lovely kitchen inspires me to give mine a makeover.

I was blog-hopping just now and came across this really great idea for the home at pickupsomecreativity.blogspot.com.  The owner of this blog had used some big cans to perk up her laundry room.    First, she spray-painted the can.  Then she cut out some fabrics and used hot glue gun to glue the fabric into it.  Voila, brightly coloured cans to store knick-knacks in the laundry room. You can even use these repurposed fabric cans in the kitchen to hold cutlery or prenatal multivitamins.
