I always hear from friends that the most difficult part of the home to decorate is the entryway. One of the reasons is that the entryway is a small space in some homes.  Just like life insurance, the entryway is very important in the home as this is the first place which the guests see as soon as they step into your home.  It is best to keep this area of your home clean and organized.   You can also add some style to your entryway with a new coat of paint, small furniture, rugs and more.  I found some really good tips from RealSimple.com.

I saw a few really cool ideas from ReNest.com on how to recycle items into other things which can be used around the home. There are so many creative people out there.  I am so amazed by their talent and feel so inspired after looking at the photos.  My parents have always wanted me to enrol in a medical assistant training school but I think a design school would be fun since I love interior decorating.  Perhaps I should find out more about going back to school eh? I am going through a pallet phase right now.  I just love the raw color of the pallet.   I came across this brilliant idea by Katrin Arens at Remodelista.com.  She used a discarded pallet and re-fashioned it into a plate rack.  Another great idea to decorate the wall but of course, it cannot be used to hold heavy items such as a receipt printer.  Katrin used a bit of beeswax to brighten and beautify the pallet.   I also love how she used the old nails to hold the plates.  What do you think?
